Fresh Finds Friday: Brightleaf
(This article previously went up bare bones without much writing, since I was in Japan. :/ But I have now updated it to make it better!)
It’s Friday, and you know what that means – time for another Fresh Find! This week’s featured web-comic is Brightleaf, by my fellow SCAD alumni Brett Muller: Brightleaf.

Brightleaf is the eponymous tale of a young hunter from the Pakuta tribe who befriends a shadow demon – which is pretty unheard of where he’s from! The first chapter just wrapped up, and so far it’s been a pretty epic fantasy adventure – I can’t wait to see more.

Brett’s coloring so far has been a very refreshing earthy palette that compliments his cartoony drawing style to a T. He also manages to have lots of detail in his drawings without detracting from that cartoony style – which is pretty awesome since it can be difficult to balance those elements at times.

So that’s Brightleaf! If you want a smooth, full-color read with a fun little fantasy adventure story, then Brightleaf is the comic for you.
Well, that’s it for this week’s edition of Fresh Finds Friday. Thanks for dropping by!
If you would like to suggest a comic for Fresh Finds Friday, please feel free to send me an email at info(@)seedpress.net (remove the parentheses!). The only thing I ask is that you don’t suggest your own comic, and that the comic you are suggesting has at least 10 pages up for viewing.
