Fresh Finds Friday: Oglaf
This week’s Fresh Finds Friday feature is not safe for work or children – I’m only going to be posting work-safe images, but you might not want to click on the comic links if you’re not in the privacy of home or too young to be viewing things of an adult nature.

This week’s Fresh Finds Friday feature is the amazing Oglaf. If you’ve been into web-comics as long as I’ve been, you probably remember Sexy Losers in its hayday – that’s to say, when it still updated regularly. Well, Oglaf is what Sexy Losers would have been, if it had a fantastical twist. For those who aren’t aware of Sexy Losers, let’s just say that Oglaf is one of the funniest damn things I’ve ever read, and I’ve done a lot of reading.

Anyhow, let’s stop with all that stuff and get back to Oglaf. Oglaf is a full color parody/comedy comic that often features adult themes. Most of the Oglaf comics are one-shots or just a few pages, but they’re always spot on and well drawn – even when they’re not adult oriented.

Even though most of the Oglaf stories don’t have the same characters or story lines, they’re all unified by their fantasy theme. I’m a big fan of fantasy, so it really tickles me to see a Fantasy comic that’s truly well done. Growing up I remember watching lots of fantasy shows and reading fantasy books, but not comic books, so it’s good to see all of these new fantasy web-comics popping up on the ‘net.
That’s all for this week’s edition of Fresh Finds Friday. Thanks for dropping by!
If you would like to suggest a comic for Fresh Finds Friday, please feel free to send me an email at info(@)seedpress.net (remove the parentheses!). The only thing I ask is that you don’t suggest your own comic, and that the comic you are suggesting has at least 10 pages up for viewing.

You know well that I loved Sexy Losers back in the day, but although comparisons are fair I say Oglaf surpasses it. And I don’t say that just because I’m a fantasy nerd, the humor is just so sharp, the art is so polished and the comedic timing is so perfect.
